You may have noticed our article in our last newsletter regarding our support for Chris Brooks and Joe Thompson
who have approached us to help publicise their charitable venture for December 2009 with the aim to introduce them
to potential sponsors and achieve charity donations.
Recent coverage includes an interview on Radio Surrey where Joe was 'Prime Minister' for the morning on the Mike
Carter Breakfast Show. The pair have also recorded a piece for BBC South Today and BBC South East which will be
aired in July.

The two 23 year old University graduates who met whilst at Exeter University in 2004 will be following in the footsteps
of Ben Fogle and James Cracknell in the Atlantic Rowing Race which starts in the Canary Islands and finishes in Antigua.
The race is 3,000 miles in length and should take about 60 days - however, and wait for it, there is a slight problem...
they've never rowed before! apart from Joe, who mentioned once rowing out into the middle of a lake for a spot of fishing.
"Are you mad?" was our one and only question after they eagerly talked us through their plans of racing against
approximately 20 other teams, some of which include Olympians.
But, it's all in aid of two excellent South-East based children's charities of which they are passionate:

Opened in 2003, Chestnut Tree House in Arundel provides expert palliative care, practical advice and support to children
with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and is the only Children's hospice in Sussex.

A charitable organization responsible for the maintenance of two schools that provide care and bespoke education for children
from 6 to 17 years of age. These children suffer from severe emotional and social difficulties for a number of reasons;
ranging from, a variety of mental illnesses including Asperges Syndrome and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder,
to deprived and neglected upbringings. And each one desperately needs their help.

They are looking to raise £175,000 through sponsorship and charitable donations to cover the £70,000 cost of the event
and £105,00 to split between the two charities.
The sponsorship opportunities range from Gold, Silver, Bronze to Crew and include a range of benefits from having your
brand on the boat or clothing to attending the official boat launch in the Canary Islands.
