Successful event in Ditchling raises funds for local cancer charity 'Cancervive'

Peacehaven based advertising and PR agency Zerofiftyone Media worked closely with their client 'Cancervive' to arrange a fund raising cricket tournament at Ditchling Cricket Club.

The Hurstpierpoint charity supports the friends and relatives of cancer patients by offering a support telephone line and holding local support meetings. Founded after losing both his first and second wife to cancer, Paul Huggett saw the need for such a charity.

Four local businesses entered teams who competed in a 6-a-side tournament. Each team had a past or present county or international player who were Martin Saggers, Joey Benjamin, Chris Liddle and Ragheb Aga. Zerofiftyone won the tournament, aided by ex Sussex player, David Smith, who is new business director for the company.

Everyone enjoyed a BBQ and refreshments throughout the day which ended with a Raffle.

The Day raised in excess of £2,000 for Cancervive, which will allow them to keep their telephone helplines open for longer. To view photographs of the day, please visit the Zerofiftyone gallery.
